Brian Boyle and his lone game winning goal.
The New York Rangers are winning their series 2-1 after a 1-0 win over the Ottawa Senators.  The winning goal came not in the 1st period or the 2nd period but 7:35 in the 3rd period.  Brain Boyle scored the game winning goal and this is his 3rd goal of the playoffs.  Henrik Lundqvist stopped all 39 shots he faced and Craig Anderson stopped 22 of 23.  The Senators were playing without Captain Daniel Alfredsson who took an elbow to the head in game 2. There were only 5 penalties taken by each team.  Surprisingly no fights.  Check out the Brian Boyle goal, Stu Bickel's blocked shot and game highlight below!

Zdeno Chara scores his 1st of the series.
The Boston Bruins beat the Washington Capitals 4-3.  Washington struck first with the only goal in the 1st period by Alexander Semin.  Rich Peverley tied it up for Boston 35 seconds into the 2nd period.  Washington Captain Alex Ovechkin scored 13 seconds later and Washington restored their 1 goal lead.  Bruin Daniel Paille made it 2-2 with a goal at 9:38.  In the 3rd period Boston took their 1st lead of the game with a goal by Brian Rolston.  Brooks Laich of Washington then scored, tie game 3-3.  Then with less then 2 minutes in the 3rd period Bruin Captain Zdeno Chara scores his 1st goal of the series and Boston wins 4-3.  Chara  also picked up 2 assists for a 3 point night.  The Bruins took 7 penalties, Washington took 9 including a match penalty for Nicklas Backstrom.  The match penalty means that Backstrom is automatically suspended for Game 4 and the league will review the play.  Tim Thomas stopped 29 of 32 shots and Braden Holtby kept his team in the game stopping until the bitter end 25 of 29 shots.  Watch the Backstrom crosscheck below.

St. Louis is one game closer to a series win.
In the final game of the night the St. Louis Blues beat the San Jose Sharks 4-3.  It was 1-1 after the 1st period with a goal by Blues Patrik Berglund and Shark Brent Burns.  St. Louis took a 2 goal lead in the 2nd with goals by Andy McDonald and Jason Arnott.  59 seconds into the 3rd period Alexander Steen scored the eventual game winner for St. Louis.  San Jose did get two more goals late in the period by Colin White and Logan Couture, but it wasn't enough.  St. Louis goalie Brian Elliott stopped 26 of 29 goals, San Jose goalie Antti Niemi stopped 23 of 27.  Each team took 5 penalties and only a tiny brawl broke out in this game.  Check out the game highlights below!

For Vancouver Canuck fans Daniel Sedin got on a flight to Los Angeles yesterday and was at practice with his team.  Daniel missed the last 9 games of the regular season after a nasty elbow to the head during a game against Chicago.  Daniel has missed the 3 games played against Los Angeles.  Fingers crossed Daniel can play tomorrow.  Daniel is the top scorer for the Canucks and it would be a welcomed addition in the midst of the Canucks being down 3-0 in the series.  Go Canucks Go!

Tonight's lineup is short:
Florida takes on New Jersey at 4:00
Nashville takes on Detroit at 4:30
Phoenix takes on Chicago at 6:00 Enjoy X
