Tyler Ennis #63 Celebrating
Out of the 4 games played last night, 3 ended in either an overtime or a shootout.  Teams are now fighting more then ever to collect points.

The Buffalo Sabres beat the Montreal Canadians 3-2 in overtime.  Montreal's Eric Cole scored the only goal in the 1st period.  Buffalo's Tyler Ennis scored the only goal in the second period to tie the game.  The 3rd period was a bit more exciting.  Tyler Ennis scored his 10th goal of the year early in the 3rd and Buffalo held the lead the entire period until Montreal's David Desharnais scored to tie to up with only 5 seconds left in regulation.  Then enter Tyler Myers for Buffalo who scored the winning goal 2:01 into OT.  With this single point Montreal picks up they are still in 15th place in the east with 65 points and 11 out of a playoff spot.  Buffalo however has slowly but steadily moved into 9th place in the east and only 2 points out of 8th place in the east.

The Colorado Avalanche beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 in overtime.  Anaheim's handsome Teemu Selanne tied up the game at the end of the 3rd period.  With 2 minutes gone in OT Colorado's Gabriel Landeskog scored his 19th of the year to end it.
The Nashville Predators beat the Phoenix Coyotes 5-4 in a shootout.  Nashville had the lead 1-0 after the 1st period.  Nashville still had the lead 3-2 after the 2nd period.  In the 3rd period former Canuck and current Coyote Raffi Torres tied up the with 5 minutes remaining.  Nothing in OT and onto the S/O.  The only successful goal in the S/O was by Predator Andrei Kostitsyn.
The only game to end last night in regulation was the one between the Edmonton Oilers and the San Jose Sharks.  San Jose always held the lead.  Edmonton was always scoring the tying goal until the 3rd period when San Jose scored to make it 3-2 and Edmonton couldn't get the tying goal.

Jamie Benn #14 and Jordie Benn #58 of the Dallas Stars!
The Dallas Stars have recalled D-Man Jordie Benn!  Benn will be playing alongside Kid brother and Dallas hot shot Jamie Benn!  Jordie will wear #58.  Keep an eye on this player.  Next year don't be surprised if we see another set of brothers playing on the same permanent roster.  The best part is the brothers are Victoria BC boys!

Jordie did register his 1st NHL point in his 1st NHL game and was only the 10th player in Stars history to do it.  Jordie picked up the assist while brother Jamie picked up the other assist on the same goal!
Jamie and Jordie are the 3rd set of brothers to play on the Stars together.
