When I was traveling through France this summer with my family, many of the places we drove by my dad would say "The Romans went through here, left a mark."  It became a vacation joke.  I can't help but compare it to Aaron Rome's recent streak in his 4th game back.  Rome is getting everywhere and most importantly getting the puck to the back of the net.  Rome scored his 3rd goal in 4 games back.  If you take out the Anaheim game on friday night when Rome got a game misconduct after a hit, he has scored a goal a game since his return on November 6th against Chicago.  Rome also set another career high tonight with 2 assists making his points for the night total 3.

Rome opened the scoring and Captain Henrik Sedin scored 2nd.  Islander Matt Moulson scored to make it 2-1.  Cutie Cody Hodgson scored to make it 3-1.  That was a well deserved goal.  Cody is a smart player, patient and reads plays well.  A break away Friday night and always taking shots on net, Cody deserves his 4th goal of the season.  Finally the most recent addition to the Canucks David Booth scored on an empty net to finish the game at 4-2.  This was Booth's 2nd goal as a Canuck.

Like everything in life there are unwritten rules in hockey.  I am about to teach you one.  Here it is: Goalies are to be protected by their team.  Never should an opposing player hit a goalie, push a goalie or bull doze him over.  If that happens prepare to see a kerfuffle like never before.  Well this is what should happen but as we learned Saturday night in Boston it doesn't always.  Left winger Milan Lucic bull dozed Buffalo Sabers goalie Ryan Miller over and it wasn't pretty.  The only one who did anything about it was Miller.  Lucic was given a 2 minute penalty.  Miller stayed on the ice a little longer then left because of soreness and later it was announced he had a concussion.  Watch the hit in "If you need a visual."

The Chicago Blackhawks beat the Edmonton Oilers tonight.  One of my personal favorites Jonathan Toews scored 2 goals.  Interesting thing about this game when you look at the stats, all 3 goals by Edmonton the "Kids Line" contributed.  Jordan Eberle assisted Ryan Smyth's goal.  Eberle went on to score the second goal, then Nugent-Hopkins assisted the 3rd goal by Shawn Horcoff.  These kids steal the show.

Watch the Canucks play the Blackhawks Wednesday.  After the 6-2 win the Canucks had, the Blackhawks are going to come out guns blazing.  7:00pm on Sports Net.
