Last night's game Canucks vs Blackhawks was a thing of beauty.  This was a game to be watched.  It was the 1st meeting these two teams had since Vancouver booted Chicago out of the playoffs in the 1st round last year.  A little recap on this hockey rivalry.  Canucks beat Chicago last year in OT of game 7.  Burrows scored after serving a 2 minute penalty.  The Canucks had won games 1, 2, and 3 and the Hawks went on to win games 4,5, and 6.  In game 7 Burrows scored a few minutes in and that was that nothing until the last minute of the 3rd period when Chicago Team Captain Jonathan Toews scored to take the game into over time.  Canucks won, story done.  The year prior these 2 teams met in round 2.  Chicago eliminated Vancouver in game 6 and went on to win the Stanley Cup that year.  The year prior in 2009 the 2 teams again met up in round 2 and yes Chicago eliminated Vancouver in game 6.  This was a very very big deal when Vancouver bumped Chicago out in 2011.  Watch Alex Burrows scores the OT winner in "If you need a Visual" watch the goal, the celebration and the hand shakes.  It was an amazing moment in Canuck Hockey History.

Last night new Canuck David Booth, lucky #7 scored his 1st as a Canuck and opened the scoring in the game.  It was beautiful.  Chicago tied it up and then Canuck Aaron Rome scored his 1st of the season (in his 1st game back no less, out with injury) to make it 2-1.  Daniel Sedin created the 2 goal lead with a beauty to make it 3-1.  Chicago squeaked one more past Lou but that was it for the Hawks.  Quiet, confident Jannik Hansen made it 4-2, Dan Hamhuis came off the bench literally then got the puck to the back of the net for a 5-2 lead.  And yes Team Captain Henrik Sedin on the power play made it the final score 6-2 Canucks.  These 2 teams meet 3 more times this season, it is going to be Nutty!  Check out Booth's 1st goal as a Canuck in "If you need a Visual".

Cutie Martin Biron, back up goalie to the New York Rangers skated away with his first shut in a Rangers uniform.  Biron stopped all 23 shots he faced.  Final score Rangers 3, Winnipeg Jets 0.  The Rangers are now on a 4 game winning streak.
