Last night there were only 7 games played.  Today there are only 3.

The New York Rangers beat the Washington Capitals 3-2.  The Rangers are on a 3 games win streak and #1 in the NHL with 77 points!
The Florida Panthers beat the New York Rangers 4-1.  It was a tie game after the 1st period, then the Panthers came back to score 3 goals in the 2.  Florida is sitting 1st in their division right now as we are heading towards the playoffs.
The Anaheim Ducks beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-3.  Good Looking Corey Perry  scored his 5th career hat trick and super cute Bobby Ryan and Jason Blake also scored for Anaheim.  Watch Perry score his 3 goals in "If You Need a Visual."  Perry is #10 in the White Jersey.
The Los Angeles Kings beat the Dallas Stars 4-2.
The Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2.  Steve Downie scored the 2 goals for Tampa Bay and Evgeni Malkin scored 2 for Pittsburgh.  Evgeni Malkin leads the NHL with the most points at 69 (points include goals and assists)  Can we say hot streak?!
The St. Louis Blues shut out the San Jose Sharks 3-0.  One of my personal favorite goalies Jaroslav Halak made 25 saves for his 6th shutout this season and the St. Louis goalies have combined for 11 shutouts this season, leading the league!
The Detroit Red Wings beat the Philadelphia Flyers last night.  Thanks to a goal early in the 3rd period by Johan Franzen assisted by Nicklas Lidstrom and handsome Henrik Zetterberg the Detroit Red Wings are now tied for 20 consecutive wins at home!  They are tied with a record set by the Boston Bruins in 1929-1930 season and the Philly Flyers in the 1975-1976 season for 20 consecutive wins.  Wait and see if they win the next one for 21 wins and the record, we will know on February 14th when the Red Wings take on the Dallas Stars!

There are only 3 games being played tonight:
The San Jose Sharks vs the Washington Capitals at 4:30pm
The Carolina Hurricane vs the Montreal Canadiens at 4:30pm
and the Phoenix Coyotes vs the Vancouver Canucks at 7:00pm

A few former Canucks play for the Coyotes.  Raffi Torres who helped the Canucks in their Stanley Cup run last year and Cutie Taylor Pyatt.  Enjoy Ladies!
