Unless you have been living under a rock in the hockey world everyone is aware that the Chicago Blackhawks are on an amazing run! These two guys Cory Crawford and Ray Emery are a huge part of that.

I love a man in uniform! Thanks Crawford
Hello Everyone!  How are you?  Am I excited to present to you this week's Fantasy Friday!  I did a lot of thinking over the week.  I knew I wanted someone from the Western Conference.  I bounced around players from the Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, Edmonton Oilers and then it finally came to me, the Chicago Blackhawks.  Unless you have been living on Mars anyone who watches hockey is aware that the Chicago Blackhawks are on an amazing streak having not lost a game in regulation this year!  I also wanted to point out that only 3 games have gone to OT or a S/O that this team has lost.  Meaning the Blackhawks have won 21 games!  The team can thank Marian Hossa, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane for finding the back of the net and scoring night after night after night but we can also thank #1 netminder Cory Crawford and backup Ray Ermery (although I am reluctant to call Emery a backup when he has started nearly 1/2 the games this season) for Chicago's entertaining streak!

Let's start with Cory Crawford!  The first thing I noticed when I started my research was Crawford was born on December 31st 1984.  The New Year's Eve baby has really made a name for himself in the NHL.  Drafted by Chicago in the 2nd round in 2003, Crawford has spent his entire pro career with the Blackhawks organization.

Crawford wears the number 50, stands 6'2" and weights just over 200 pounds.  Basically Crawford is that guy you want to take home to Mum.  Another little fun fact about Crawford; he comes from Montreal, Quebec which means he can speak french which is the language of romance which means Crawford can whisper you sweet nothings in the most romantic language on the planet!

This year Crawford has won 11 of the 14 games he has played.  Allowing only 21 goals and stopping a whooping 352 others!  In total Crawford has played 136 games in the NHL and has won 75 and only lost 38, with an .913 save percentage.  Which means Crawford stops over 9 out of 10 shots on net that comes his way.

Mr.Crawford I am so happy to make you a Fantasy Friday!  Keep up the good work Bud!

Babe alert! Check out those lips! I know I melted as well. A man in a suit, it really doesn't get any better.

I always find a man with talent attractive!
Possibly one of the best kept secrets to a winning NHL team is having an amazing backup who can relieve the #1 netminder on a bad night or start a game and give the #1 a break and the team can breath easy knowing they have an all star in net.  With a team like Chicago they have not only Cory Crawford but an amazing backup in Ray Emery.  Emery's journey to the Chicago Blackhawks is a bit different then Crawford's.

Emery was drafted by the Ottawa Senators, 4th round in 2001.   Emery played 5 seasons with the Senators before brief stints in Philadelphia and Anaheim.  Finally on October 3rd 2011 Emery signed as a free agent with the Blackhawks.

Emery hails from Hamilton, Ontario and it is save to say coming from a city like that hockey is just in his blood.  Emery wears number 30, stand 6'2" like Crawford and weights about 200 pounds.  You can see with Crawford and Emery's height and weight they can both cover a lot of space in front of the net and make it next to impossible for players to score.  Ermey has won 10 of his 11 games this year.  Allowing only 22 goals, stopping 292 other shots on net and his save percentage is .925 meaning Emery stopped over 9 out of 10 shots that have come his way this season.

If you do ever bump into Emery off the ice his nick names are Razor and Sugar Ray.  The tattooed net minder also has a flare for fashion that is well know within the league.  Either way you slice it Emery is just a dream boat! Thank you Chicago for not only signing a great goalie but a handsome one!

Ray Emery had me at hello. My knees went weak. Handsome!

Bros that practice together, win games together! While Emery is between the pipes Crawford rests on the back of the net. We all know there is no "i" in team! Well done boys!
And there you have it ladies, another two extremely handsome and extremely talented Fantasy Friday picks!  Enjoy and don't forget tonight Chicago takes on Colorado who they played on Wednesday and won 3-2. The game winning goal scored by Daniel Carcillo with 50 seconds left in the 3rd period.  Chicago enters the game with a 21-0-3 record and Colorado sits with 8-10-4.  Chicago is 1st in the west with 45 points while Colorado is 14th in the west with 20 points.  Chicago actually has a huge lead in the standings overall.  With 45 points Chicago is 10 points ahead of Anaheim and 11 points ahead of Montreal.  All I have to say is Good Luck Chicago and thank you for being such a cute, talented, hard working team.
