And ACTION!
Hello Everyone! How are all of you?  I am so so so excited to be writing this post!  Today is the launch of Season 2 Hockey Talk with Courtney!

Like a lot of stories it took time, patience and determination to get Season 2 off the ground.  First I was stalled with the lockout back in September.  I end up getting by with showing up at UBC three times a week and watching the locked out players skate.  Including the Sedins, Kevin Bieksa, Chris Higgins, Cory Schneider and Dan Hamhuis to name a few.

Then the lockout ended so quickly.  January 13th in the wee hours of the morning it was over.  I received a text message from my friend Art at 3:30am saying "The lockout is over!  We are back to work!"  Thanks for the wake up call Art! Later that morning I took my son to his skating lesson out at UBC and I bumped into Canuck forward Chris Higgins.  To say the least Higgins was extremely happy the lockout had ended.  He was happy he didn't have to head to Europe.  I don't think the smile left his face our entire conversation, he was so thrilled to be back at work.  The chat ended with Chris talking to Hunter about his skating lesson.  Let's just say Chris and Hunter were both excited NHL hockey was back!

With such a shortened season I had to rewrite my episodes.  I cut it down by 1/2 and picked out what was most important and fun.  Then find locations.  Canlan Ice Sports in North Vancouver was the backdrop this year.  Plus, Red Card Sports Bar in downtown Vancouver was kind enough to let me shoot in their restaurant!  Red Card is where I have hosted the Canucks Autism Network's New Year's Eve fundraiser the past 2 years.  I found a great camera and audio crew, Raivo and Paul!  My friend Nathan who is one of the most dedicated actors I know directed the show. My buddy Arpad is my co host.  Arpad and I bump into each other at auditions all the time and we have a great chemistry!  It was a fantastic match. Plus my wonderful editor Steven, who patiently put the show together with me.  After all of that.  Phone calls, emails, writing, travelling, organizing and everything else in-between Season 2 finally is a go!  All I can say is that is the magic of Film and TV!  Please Enjoy X

Arpad had to stay on his mark. He could only be goofy in the goalie crease!

Hot tea, hot tea and more hot tea! Ice rinks can be cold. Welcome to the Great White North!

Our director Nathan, his hot tea, cold ice, lights and film crew! Does it get any better?

Finally Arpad and I moved inside to a skate shop for a segment! It was much warmer and Arpad and I had a great time!

Hard work does pay off!  This week I was featured on the website "The Thirties Grind"  It is a website that explores everything Vancouver including The REAL Real Housewives of YVR.  Melissa Carr the creator features amazing local women in this portion and I was happy to be apart of it.  Click the link below to read my interview.  The whole process was wonderful! Thank you Melissa http://thethirtiesgrind.com/2013/03/26/the-real-real-housewives-of-vancouver-courtney-vye/#more-2862

Finally for tomorrow's Fantasy Friday I wanted to choose a player from the Eastern Conference.  I was bouncing around ideas in my head.  Then with a huge huge trade last night I knew who it was going to be!  I have given you a hint below!  This video still gives me goose bumps.  What a great moment in Canadian Sports!
