Last night's game Game 4 was do or die for the Penguins. In this series the team that scores 1st has gone on to lose every game. Well it was true again last night as Flyer Matt Carle scored the opening goal of the game just over the 1/2 way mark in the 1st period. Penguin Steve Sullivan scored next to tie the game 1-1. Scott Hartnell lit up the board for his team before the period ended and the teams went to the locker room with a 2-1 lead for Philly. The Penguins came back in the 2nd period. Jordan Staal scored his 6th goal of the playoffs assisted by Tyler Kennedy and Kris Letang. Then 3 minutes later Tyler Kennedy scored his own goal assisted by Matt Cooke and Jordan Staal. A scoreless 3rd meant a win for Pittsburgh making the series 3-2. Eight penalties were taken between the teams. Three for Philly, five for Pittsburgh. Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 20 of 23 shots and Penguin goalie Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 24 of 26 shots. These 2 teams meet up in Philadelphia Sunday for game 6 at noon.
