Courtney

Host, Writer, Executive Producer
I am your host Courtney. I got the idea for this show one day at work. I worked at a breakfast restaurant in Vancouver. I started to pay attention to hockey once I realized most of my customers were talking about the Canucks. I figured it would give me something to talk about as I poured their coffee. My curiosity for the game exploded into a full on love affair. Along with breakfast and coffee my customers came to expect my "professional opinion" as some called it on the latest news in hockey.
To say the least it was very a fast moving game and intimidating at times. Picking up the rules, learning the history takes time. While educating myself I created "Hockey Talk with Courtney" to educate other women about the game plus which players are not only cute but hard working hockey players!
Please enjoy the show!

Arpad

Co-Host Season 2
I'm Arpad, Courtney's co-host for season 2. I was one of those kids that never got the chance to play the game on ice. I would however strap on the rollerblades and play every day after school in the streets until it was to dark to see. It wasn't until NHL 98 for the SNES that I started taking notes on the basics of the game (who says video games aren't educational!) A year or so after a buddy of mine was getting a team together. Never having stepped on the ice before, I traded in my busted golf clubs and bought a pair of new hockey pants and used skates. I was on my way to becoming a weekend superstar. From when my skates touched the ice first, my face was a quick second, to when I recieved my first pass and the puck blew the stick outta my hand, I was instantly hooked! There is so much to learn about this sport. Safe to say I'll probably be learning a lot along the way with you ladies so I'm gonna enjoy the journey with you in season 2!

Lane

Co-Host Season 1
I'm Lane, Courtney's co-host and favorite former breakfast customer. I was born and raised in Calgary and have played and followed hockey for as long as I can remember. It kinda comes with the territory when you grow up in The Prairies. Some of my earliest memories are of learning the game are with my father and grandfather on outdoor rinks and later in early morning leagues. Hockey has long been a boys club and it is my belief that if the ladies or anyone else for that matter really understood the game they too would fall in love. I shall do my best to respectfully teach all that I know and do boatloads of research so you don't have to. This truly is the game I love and I look forward to passing a little of that on.
